Description as a Tweet:

This webApp is coded using HTML, CSS, JS and uses Google Cloud. It’s main aim is to reduce the manager's burden at a workplace by automating the job assigning process. We have kept Covid19 pandemic in mind as our software indirectly helps in contact tracing.

Inspiration:

The COVID 19 pandemic and to make the managers job easier.

What it does:

It automates distribution of jobs for the UMass Dining Commons. With some modifications, it can be used elsewhere.

How we built it:

We used HTML/CSS to build the front end. And JavaScript to build the backend.

Technologies we used:

  • HTML/CSS
  • Javascript
  • Node.js

Challenges we ran into:

We didn't know how firebase works. We were also stuck on web hosting because we all were new to AWS. We were also facing some access error issues in the javascript file.

Accomplishments we're proud of:

We learned how to use Firebase. Furthermore, we together figured out how to use the AWS console. We eliminated all the bugs from our code by debugging it and analyzing it again. Most importantly, working as a successful team in the virtual environment made us all proud.

What we've learned:

We Learned about web development. Besides this, we also learned how to manage our time to the fullest in these two days of hackathon.

What's next:

We will modify it to make it smoother and more efficient.

Built with:
