DocX is an all in one solution to track your loved ones from any hospitals 24/7, It provides you with regularly updated vitals, doctors comments, daily bills that are incurred, booking virtual doctor's appointments, or track nearby hospitals.
For the longest time, we have lacked provision to stay updated with patients outside hospitals and always need to be present there for detailed reports on our loved ones.
Since now due to Covid-19, family members aren't allowed to stay inside hospitals and have no clue of what is going inside; our solution DocX can track how their family members are doing, check doctors' updates, necessary vitals, pay bills and keep a tab of everything going on inside.
DocX changes the primitive method of tabbing data in a record chart and rather allows hospitals to directly use a tablet/computer to update these vitals and also share these logs directly with the family members of the patients and this also allows them to have a structured database of the patient's logs.
The project was primarily built using Django. Django was used to create forms and collect data from the hospitals in the form of "logs" and it was used for storing the data in a SQLite 3 Django Database. Django also helped in setting up user authentication and site navigation.
For designing the site we used HTML, CSS and Bootstrap. All the image designs, including the logo were made in Figma.

We needed to find out what problems people were facing, hence we surveyed some of our family members, this allowed us to know the current situation was and how no proper synchronous data is available for family members to keep a tab on. After some brainstorming, we were able to understand that a level of transparency was missing and hence a real-time updating system was required to be there in place.
That we were able to use the hackathon to actually solve a problem that many people are facing, and hopefully partner with some hospitals after polishing our product to bring it to the market.
We learnt how to work with Django and create our own database within Django. We also learnt how user authentication works within Django.
Apart from the tech side, we also learnt about various problems faced by patients and their relatives in hospitals, specially during the coronavirus pandemic.
There are quite a few things:
1) Add support for live data reflected from the various equipment at the hospital
2) Add bills - So that patients/relatives can check the detailed description for the various daily expenses with full transparency
3) Improve the UI of the webapp
We built it with passion and care :D
